For The Swedish Red Cross opening event of its new cultural center or “meeting place” in Skärholmen, Stockholm, i designed three elements. The idea of this cultural meeting place is for people from different cultures to come together; learning from each other through various language classes, workshops and talks. Everybody should feel welcome – 15 year old Raheem from Irak as well as 65 year old Agda from Sweden.
Each of the cards hanging from the ceiling has a picture on one side, and a story on the other. This was part of a specific project where you would donate a piece of garment that meant something to you, along with a short story about it. Then it would be upcycled and sold as a new design, with the story printed on the clothes tag. Thus, the story would be shared.
